Description
An open-source research platform on Chinese overseas infrastructure finance and the Belt and Road Initiative, documented in a 2026 article in Frontiers in Big Data. It combines a cleaned dataset of 4,861 infrastructure projects in 183 countries, built from AidData's China's Global Loans and Grants Dataset (2000–2023), with a library of 42 policy documents, institutional reports, and academic sources (2015–2026). Researchers can filter the data by region, sector, flow type, and period on a map, charts, and table, or ask questions in plain language and get answers with named sources. Figures show financing commitments rather than money paid out, and the documents are in English only.
