Description
MHGIS (Modern History Geographical Information Services / 近代歷史地理資訊平台) is a historical GIS platform jointly developed by the Institute of Modern History and the Center for GIS, RCHSS, Academia Sinica. The platform provides georectified historical maps with thematic coverage of treaty ports, concessions, customs offices, railway hubs, and major cities across East and Southeast Asia, with map types including large-scale city maps (1:25,000 and above), topographic maps, waterway charts, and railway maps. Map resources integrate with other MHDB databases including the Databases of Chinese Maritime Customs.
